01Getting started

The first time you open the widget, pick a market (VN or US) and a few stocks you follow, then press Get started. They go to your watchlist. The next step offers a first alert (the stock moving 5% or 10%).

Each new page shows only a small price bubble in the bottom-right corner. Click it to open the widget.

02Markets and search

• VN · Stocks: HOSE, HNX, UPCoM and the VNINDEX, VN30, HNX and UPCOM indexes.
• VN · Derivatives: VN30 index futures (VN30F1M, VN30F2M, VN30F1Q, VN30F2Q).
• US: NYSE / NASDAQ stocks and ETFs (about 600 of the largest and most traded), plus the S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones, VIX, DXY, gold, oil and the 10-year yield.
• Search by symbol (FPT, AAPL) or company name, with or without Vietnamese accents (hoa phat finds HPG). Tabs filter by HOSE / HNX / UPCOM / NASDAQ / NYSE / ETF / INDEX.
• The selected stock shows its price, the change vs the reference price, its exchange and the trading phase (ATO, Continuous, Lunch break, ATC, Put-through, Closed; US: Pre-market, After-hours), plus an under warning / control / restricted / suspended tag when the exchange puts the stock there.
• Vietnamese board colors: purple = ceiling, cyan = floor, yellow = reference, green = up, red = down. US stocks use green / red only. Can be turned off in the quick settings.
• Units: Vietnamese prices are in thousand VND, as on the boards (61.9 = 61,900 ₫); turn on "Vietnamese prices in full VND" in the quick settings to see 61,900. US prices in USD.
• Prices update during each exchange's trading hours only; outside them the extension stops downloading.

03Market tab

Six tabs: Chart · Info · Watchlist · Top · Position · Alert.

Chart

• Timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 1D, 1W, 1M. The chart only has candles of trading hours.
• Adjusted / raw prices: the Adjusted button on 1D and longer. Prices are adjusted for dividends, bonus shares and splits by default; tap for raw prices (the ex-date gaps show).
• Ceiling, floor and reference lines of the session (VN stocks, VN30F).
• Indicators: MA, EMA, Bollinger, MACD, RSI, Volume, Auto S/R… and PRO VWAP, SuperTrend, Ichimoku, Volume Profile, Stoch RSI, ATR.
• Drawing tools on the chart's left bar; double-click a horizontal line to set an alert at that price.
• AI: Claude reads the trend and key levels (needs your own Anthropic API key, entered in the advanced settings).

Info

• Session stats: reference, ceiling, floor, high, low, volume, traded value.
• Fundamentals: sector, market cap, P/E, P/B, EPS, ROE, dividend yield, beta, 52-week range, earnings growth; US stocks also show the next earnings date.
• Best prices: the 3 best bids and asks with volumes (VN).
• F-Score and reference value: the Piotroski score 0–9 from the last two annual reports (with its 9 checks), the Graham number, values at the sector's median P/E and P/B. For reference only.
• Same sector: the most traded stocks of the sector and their change today; tap one to open it.
• Foreign investors: buys, sells, net today, net over 5 and 20 sessions, room left.
• Corporate events: cash / stock dividend ex-dates, bonus shares, AGMs (VN); dividends, splits (US).
• VN30F: official reference (the previous settlement price), basis vs VN30, open interest, expiry day, days left.
• PRO Timeframes: trend, MACD, RSI on 15m, 1h, 1D, 1W.

Watchlist

Starred stocks with live prices and mini charts. PRO several named lists, chart grid.

Top

• Gainers / Losers / Most traded among the most traded stocks, filtered by exchange (HOSE / HNX / UPCOM, NYSE / NASDAQ).
• Sectors: a sector heatmap, filtered by VN30 / VN100 / S&P 500 (here, the ~500 largest US companies by market cap, close to the real basket).
• Indexes, Breadth (up / down / unchanged / ceiling / floor counts) and Foreign (today's top net buyers and sellers).

Position

• Stocks: buy price, shares (VN in lots of 100; odd lots are recorded and flagged), trading fee (0.15% by default). P&L is after fees and the 0.1% sales tax.
• T+2: the card shows when the shares settle (US: T+1). Closing before that is journaled with a warning.
• Margin: own-capital ratio, loan rate, call and force-sell ratios; the extension computes the net asset ratio, the margin call price and the force-sell price (also drawn on the chart).
• VN30F: Long / Short, contracts, entry points, initial margin, fee per contract; P&L in points × 100,000 ₫.
• Trade journal, win rate, CSV export.

Alert

Alert packs: add a ready-made set (Breakout with volume, Buy the dip, Follow the trend, Foreign investors back) or share yours with a code. Alerts are checked during trading hours only.

04Tools tab

• Stock screener: filter every Vietnamese stock by exchange, sector, P/E, P/B, ROE, dividend yield, market cap and profit growth; Value / High dividend / Growth presets; sort and export a CSV that opens in Excel.
• Portfolio: stocks of every market in one portfolio at live prices, totals in VND and USD, P&L, weights. After an ex-date, dividends / bonus shares appear for you to Add. PRO value history.
• DCA simulator: a fixed amount every week / month on adjusted prices (dividends reinvested), next to the same plan on VNINDEX / the S&P 500.
• Position size calculator: balance, risk %, entry, stop; it gives the shares (whole lots of 100 in Vietnam) with fees and tax included. Vietnamese stocks can't be sold short.
• Converter: stocks ↔ VND, USD and other currencies.

05Bots tab

Build entry / exit rules from indicators (or start from a template), backtest them on past prices, then let the bot watch the market and send signals.

• Backtests follow market rules: fees and tax, T+2, no short selling of Vietnamese stocks, no buy fill on a candle closing at the ceiling / sell fill on one closing at the floor. The result lists these assumptions and compares with buy-and-hold and the market index.
• Running bots work during trading hours; 1D signals come after the close (ATC in Vietnam, 16:00 New York).
• PRO more bots, paper trading, parameter optimization. Share a strategy with a STWB1.… code.

06News, Sentiment, Events

• News: CafeF, Vietstock, VnExpress, Yahoo Finance; filter Vietnam / US / only news naming a watchlist stock.
• Sentiment: a Vietnamese index of our own from market breadth, foreign flow and the share of VN30 stocks above their 50-day average (how it is computed is shown under the gauge); the US one from the VIX.
• Events: ex-dates, AGMs and earnings dates of your watchlist stocks; VN30F expiry days; the US economic calendar (enable it once in the advanced settings). PRO alerts before events.

07Right on the page

• Hover $FPT, $AAPL on any page to see the price; click to open the chart. Symbols of the other market work too.
• On Vietnamese pages (CafeF, Vietstock, VnExpress, F319, Facebook in Vietnamese…) Vietnamese tickers in capitals without $ such as HPG work too; common abbreviations (GDP, CEO, VND…) are skipped. Its own switch in the quick settings.
• Right-click a selected symbol → set an alert.
• Address bar: type s, a space and a symbol (s fpt).

08Quick settings from the toolbar icon

• Desktop notifications, sound, price on the icon / tab title.
• Sudden moves of your watchlist (2% within 15 minutes by default, trading hours only).
• Morning brief at 8:30, end-of-session recap at 15:15, weekly recap.
• New listings and watchlist stocks put under warning / control / restriction / suspension, hover prices (and Vietnamese tickers without $), Vietnamese board colors, daily tips.
• US pre-market / after-hours candles.
• Hide the widget on a site, export / import your data.

09Advanced settings (Pro page)

• Scanner: scans VN30 / VN100 / S&P 500 or the 50 most traded every 15 minutes for RSI, MACD, EMA or volume conditions.
• Alert forwarding to Telegram, Discord or a webhook.
• Position alerts: take profit, stop loss, near the margin call price.
• Anthropic API key for the AI read, an optional Finnhub key as a backup US price source when Yahoo fails, repeating alarm mode, sync across devices.

10Data, backups and privacy

Everything (watchlists, alerts, positions, portfolio, bots) is stored in your browser; there is no account. Export / import from the popup. Data sources: VPS, VNDirect, SSI (Vietnam), Yahoo Finance (US). When the VPS board fails, prices come from SSI; the widget says when it runs on a backup source or when prices stop updating during the session. See the privacy policy.

11FAQ

Prices don't move?

Outside trading hours the extension stops downloading prices (the phase reads "Closed"). During the session, Vietnamese prices update every few seconds, US ones every 5–15 seconds.

Why does the chart differ from my broker's board?

The chart uses adjusted prices by default. Tap Adjusted for raw prices.

Is the data exact?

Not guaranteed. It comes from public sources and can be delayed or interrupted. If the derivatives board feed fails, the VN30F reference falls back to the previous close.

Do backtests guarantee profits?

No. Test several periods and use paper trading first.

Move my data to another computer?

Export / import in the popup, or turn on sync (Pro).
